From January 1, 2026, Hanoi will officially implement many measures to limit single-use plastics at markets, convenience stores, hotels, and tourist resorts, opening a roadmap to reduce plastic waste towards sustainable consumption.

After more than 1 week of implementation, many establishments have begun to comply with regulations, but the reality shows that there will be many difficulties for the policy to come to life.
