Professor, Doctor Ha Thuc Chi Nhan joined BUYO as technical advisor on material engineering/ biopolymer composites. He is a leading expert in polymer, composites and nanocomposites, mastering the research, synthesis, functionalization, processing, characterization and applications of polymers and nanocomposites. His research interests are focusing on the synthesis of biodegradable polymer composites from bio-based materials, starch-based materials with controllable properties and functionalities for various applications in food packaging and healthcare; creating nano materials with adsorption capacity for metal/organic carbon pollutants applied in wastewater treatment; whilst also advancing additives for polymer morphologies. Currently, he is the vice chair of material engineering faculty at Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Science. He received a doctor degree from Université Savoie Mont Blanc, a master’s degree from Université du Maine of France and a bachelor’s degree from Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Sciences.
