Dr. D. Michelle Thai is a physician-leader with extensive experience at the intersection of rehabilitation medicine, chronic disease management, and medical technology innovation. Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Thai has led clinical and entrepreneurial initiatives across the United States and Southeast Asia. She currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for OIC, where she established the company’s pioneering biomedical 3D printing operations in Singapore, focused on orthopedic applications. In parallel, she is Medical Director at Kindred Hospital where she is responsible for post-acute rehabilitation models for patients with complex, chronic conditions and Tenovi, an advance remote patient monitoring startup. With a career spanning hospital systems, startups, and global health, Dr. Thai brings a unique ability to bridge clinical practice and innovation. She co-founded multiple ventures, including Koazie (a digital platform for post-acute care navigation), Coto (AI radiology tools for underserved regions), and MediZen (a high-volume imaging center). Her international work includes advising ACCESS Health International, leading cancer rehab initiatives in Asia, and supporting education and aging programs with the Duke-NUS Medical School.
